RadioAerials
During the last 17 years, we have installed hundreds of radio aerials for customers who are demanding better reception and quality than they are getting from their current aerial.
There are 3 different types of radio aerial - the old AM aerials, FM aerials and Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) aerials. Some radio stations still transmit on the AM band but this is being gradually phased out. The most used transmission band now is the FM band, but the number of digital transmissions (DAB) are increasing due to the CD like quality sound.
In the vast majority of cases where general FM reception is required, the standard FM Aerial (shaped like a halo) offers a neat and quick solution. Where better FM reception than the FM Halo is required, the 4 Element will usually prove suitable.
For very poor signal areas, there is the 6 Element aerial which will maximise the weak signal available.
To receive the new Digital Audio Broadcasting transmissions, the DAB 5 Element aerial is designed specifically for DAB reception and gives a perfect CD quality sound. Virtually all of our radio aerials can be mounted on the same mast as your current TV aerial, which will remove the need for a new separate mast, keeping the cost down. This also helps the new aerial to blend in alongside the existing aerial, which keeps neighbours and property companies happy!! Using a splitter/combiner, the new radio signal can be combined with the existing TV signal so only one cable enters the property.
